Pros

The gas burner heats it more evenly and doesn’t give it the thumping/bounce that the electric hot plate does. The stainless steel components are easy to clean.

This is based on my own use and experience. Slower is ideal. Ya just have to do a little tweaking here and there find out what works best for ya. It's funny, but dangerous.

Cons

Thumper keg is a false claim as i learned after purchasing 2 of these. Thumper pot way to small. No downspout so useless.

The condenser is too small, so that the provided sump pump overpowers the condenser and it overflows. The fittings all leak, even with teflon tape applied everywhere. All this does is trap alcohol,both methyl and ethyl; resulting in leakage at the poo... Read More

Washed the system down with pbw brewery cleaner and then rinsed repeatedly for attempting the first run. The thermometer read 200 f for boiling water, so it's off by 12 deg. This makes holding a proper temp almost impossible.

Great for the price instruction my opinion could have been better but overall good quality

When, for $350, i could have just purchased a small, much higher quality still to begin with.

Buy the kingsunshine still with the domed copper lid instead.

Overall it is reasonably well made, for the price.

I'm leaving a 4 star reveiw because i do think this was a good buy to get in to the distilling hobby at a low cost.

Wish it had a false bottom and more copper, but works great for the price!
