Well made and it does exactly what i need
Always heat your prongs, clamps and any other tools that may come in contact with the hot crucible.
You cannot dawdle when you remove the crucible from the heat source: you have to pour your ingot and be done in very short order.

Packaging/appearance
Opened the box and the crucible looked so good and shiny i kinda don't to use it because it's so nice looking.
Not much bubble wrap in the box, but they survived the trip across the country intact.

Don't know about their longevity yet, but no reason to think it won't be comparable to other brands.

I collected a lot of scrap copper to melt down and cast into ingots like the one shown

I have found that since the furnace applies heat at the bottom of the crucible a natural temperature gradient is created in the crucible with the coolest part at the top

It doesnt take very long for the top of the crucible to cool down enough so that the copper within will begin to solidify at the top of the crucible as it is poured out
