Pros & Cons

Pros

Great quality and durable. Great chord for the price. Rolls up great.

Bucks to push 30 amp to your welder 50 feet away. Each wire handles about half of the total amperage load. Ends fit snug to wall and welder.

Extremely tuff and durable. This cord is well made and it, delivers the juice. I wouldn't question the longevity of the cord.

A pretty good value over trying to find 10-3 so cord from a home center/hardware store and the plug/receptacle and make your own. The plugs are securely attached. Converted the plug on my plasma torch to match.

It is rugged yet flexible; lays out straight when used. Still coils easily despite its comparatively heavy gauge. Fairly flexible with a small bit of loose coil remaining as it is laid out for use.

Cons

The gripping tension the female (receptacle) has is almost non-existent. Items plug in with almost no force, and disconnect far too easily. Consult any licensed electrician.

Quality

It is a very well made cord and plenty long enough very happy for making the purchase 👌👍

It feels sturdy and works pretty well so far.

Each wire handles about half of the total amperage load which in this case is 50 so each wire will handle ~25 amps.

I had previously tried using 110v and a long extension cord, but there was too much power being lost over the extension cord, a...  Read More

Price

For the price of these, they are perfect.

Super value … much cheaper than local suppliers👍

The cost of the wire alone was 4x what this cost, shipped.

It’s was a great price because the extension cord was cheaper than running a house hold wire for 220v.

Shipping

I received yesterday and within an hour—used it to weld a security plate over our back gate lockset.

I have seen comments complaining about the 10 gauge wire being to small to handle 50 amps

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

That is true if one wire was tasked to take a 50 amp load but this is a 220240 cord with two hot wires

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Each wire handles about half of the total amperage load which in this case is 50 so each wire will handle 25 amps

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

One 10 awg wire is rated at 30 amps so two wires could handle a total load of 60 amps greater than the rating of this cord

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Understood as a two wire rating the rating and cord are correct

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

However if your generator has a floating neutral and you are planning to back feed your panel this cord may not work because the common wire is open or missing

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

A floating neutral generator requires the common on the gens 240v connection to connect to the common in the panel to complete the circuit

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Bonded neutral generators may work as the common is tied to ground but i doubt floating neutral generators will since there is no return path to the gen for the two hot wires
