Your hdmi display is looking for more information than vga has and as a result your hdmi display says it doesnt detect a signal

The only issue i can see for people is the possibility for issues when setting up screen resolution my personal experience was that this was not plug and play i did have to adjust settings in windows

It had a lot of my files on there but one day the screen went black and i found out that it was common in this model laptop and there was no fix except for 100 in repairs
