The velcro strap is stupidly unnecessary the shoes should fit like a glove if you size using the instructions on the fivefingers website so i cut my straps off to lose the few grams

Returned these three time before getting a pair that fit i had been an avid vibram wearer before this experience

And they fell apart after one cleaning straps came detached
