They provide no support to your foot or ankle.
The thin rubber sole allows me to feel just about everything, but i am still protected from the really sharp stuff.

When the merrells finally gave out i decided on vibrams because i wanted less cushion more flexibility and open toes barefoot running is my end goal

These shoes dont come with traditional tie laces instead they have an adjustable cord that you simply tighten or loosen to your preference

Trail run experience i can tell these are definitely thinner than my trail gloves

If you tend to be a heel striker as i am you may find yourself adjusting your stride to land more towards the front of your foot because there isnt any extra cushion

I also feel as if my leg muscles and core are more engaged because i dont have the option of getting lazy and relying on a cushy sole to carry me along
