Pros & Cons
Pros
Vibrant is an algaecide, but i was losing the battle against the algae. Used a turkey baster/coral feeder to blast my rocks every day and kept my filter floss changed every 2 days. No negative effects on anything other than algae.
This product works suspiciously well. It's expensive, but stop hesitating because it works. Worth every dime.
I use one glug per 10 gallons, so 7 glugs is very quick for me to do each week. That's a lot less than most reef tanks require, and this product really helps me keep it sterling. Took about 2+months to get it all in my 220 gallon tank.
Cons
This product has a misleading label according to the various forums on the internet. This is not reef safe. Uwc lie about the ingredients. This product contains a chemical algaecide with known toxicity to mollusks and likely toxicity to corals.
Highlights
Quality
Anyway this stuffed worked and it worked fast, about 95% of the algae is gone and the tank looks better than it ever has in 20 years.
I originally used this product to help maintain algae in a small nano tank of about 10 gallons, and it worked very well for that use.
Literally 1 day after using 2cc in my 25gallon waterbox 25 peninsula tank, the hair algae started to turn pale and disappearing.
Had terrible algae, and within hours it started disappearing.
Competitiveness
That's a lot less than most reef tanks "require," and this product really helps me keep it sterling in the interim.
I had even tried things like foxface, emerald crabs, you name it.
