To get a reading you switch it on and the simply swipe it over the forehead it does not go in the ear or mouth

Forehead temp is basically a degree and a half less than core tympanic core so obviously this device is compensated to show the equivalent core temp

As a tool for the untrained parent to use this would be a useful indicator of temperature change and its fast in children
