We put a towel down beneath the windowsill where this sits to catch the water droplets and keep the carpet underneath dry. The mist isn't too powerful or heavy to the point of leaving droplets. Can be easily positioned to direct flow.
Not too noisy and not too big either. Purchased for my newborn daughters room at night. Im a very light sleeper and this is quiet enough to sleep with.
Cons
This product is badly designed and puts barely any humidity into the air. It’s also really loud if you are a sensitive sleeper. Checked instructions and advice is to use distilled water.

Quality
The build quality is great and it's a small enough unit to put on a table or side table.
Very happy with the size, look and ease of filling etc and when my baby granddaughter visits, know that she'll be safe with it.
Price
Price was on point, incredibly easy to use, and the lavender insert it came with was great.
Packaging/appearance
Its like anything that holds water, you'll need to keep it clean and not let hard water deposits build up in the resovoir.
Competitiveness
Had our first one for nearly 6yrs before it died.
My only gripe is that if you read the cleaning instructions its such a faff!

After a couple of months usage the bottom of the water compartment has started to separate and as a result the slightest touch results in water pouring out of the side of the unit

I awoke this morning to a large pool of water underneath the humidifier and it is impossible to fill and transport it without leaving a trail of water in its wake
