Pros

The book chronicles a family coping with a vicious crime resulting in the death of one, and serious injury to another. It brings out all of your emotions, good and bad.

I'm a true crime buff and have read countless books that detailed grisly crimes. If you don't know about the incident, but enjoy reading crime dramas this is an excellent buy.

A good read. Very well paced, compelling and moving, and highly recommend. It is very, very well researched and written. Very well written and gripping.

More books like this are needed than the numerous books about the perpetrators. Victims live with the ripple effects for decades later of the crimes heaped upon them.

I read this book when it first came out, in the very early 1980's.

The book was well written, it had a lot of emotion and i felt the victims and their family's pain.
