Pros
The 12 inch / 30 centimeter ruler is a steel construction. Strong, easy to grab, stable because of the corked backside. Every home needs this and not just for crafting!
This ruler is a lifesaver for me!
It’s beyond sturdy and the incremental markings are phenomenal!
Cons
This garbage is useless. Sloppy manufacturing practices may be tolerated in china, but they should not be tolerated. Buy at your own risk.
The scale is printed on a piece of plastic film and stuck to a thin metal strip. Zero is not on the edge making it very inaccurate. It is laughably inaccurate, non-durable / resilient, and it's actually hard to read.

These rulers are a good weight (not flimsy) and very easy to read.
I accidentally bought one with these minute incremental measuring units made of flimsy plastic and was very unhappy.
It is a nice, good quality ruler.
Price
It was reasonably priced and i believe you can get it in an 18 inch as well.
Sure inflation is everywhere but this is simply not acceptable.
Since we purchased it the price has gone crazy high.
The price is reasonable and i don't have to use it all the time, it's just a tool i like to have in my own toolbox.
Packaging/appearance
I didn't even have to open the package and the item fell out.
Great item and delivery, but the packaging stunk.

Its a must if you need it for flooring inspection or any other inspections when you need to depict measurements

I just used a file to smooth out the edges so i didnt scrape or cut myself or damage my bag that i store it in

The metal is sturdy and it has a thin cork backing so it does not slide around when you are using it however the edges are not rounded and are sharp not knife sharp it wont cut you if you just touch it or run your finger along the edge gently but sharp enough that if you grab it wrong or someone takes from your grasp there is the potential for it to cut you

It is just a sticker that is stuck onto the metal and some other reviews have said the sticker has peeled up but this has not happened to mine

It actually looks like it is quite stuck together and i dont foresee a problem with that

Just be careful if younger children are going to be using it as it could cause some serious damage if they whack someone with it

The bottom also has cork to keep it from slipping on some surfaces
