The traps are very heavy duty and sturdy. They're built from sturdy materials, including high-quality plastic and a stainless steel spring. The rats are very smart! They're quite strong. However, the rats appear to be more smarter than i expected.
These traps are super easy to use and reuse. They work best if set along the wall or outside a hole, or anywhere the rats normally run.
Cons
Squirrels take a nibble or two and leave the rest. Our old fashioned flat wooden victor traps are best.
The design is ok but they are cheaply made.
This trap has a weak spring and questionable trigger. Within 10 - 20 seconds it snaps. Some i am not even able to spring load, it just snaps back. Another reviewer noted that the trigger takes too much to spring.

Slim jims or chinese sausage hotglued to the paddle seems to be the killer bait here in nyc along with a bit of provoke in the bait cup
