Pros & Cons
Pros
The best part is i didn't have to remove spring bar of any mangled bodies or see the poor fellow struggling, helplessly, and hopelessly fighting to free himself. Fits nice in a 5 gallon bucket. The only downside is it is sometimes hard to see through ... Read More
It snaps into place securely. Be sure to inspect the trap doors/entry for debris.
Placed one by stove, one in pantry. Saw one by the house foundation near the patio. There was mulch in there.
Cons
Even when baited with a huge amount of peanut butter and chocolate, not one mouse was caught. Bait is not the issue. The springs on the trap door are nowhere near a match for a mouse. Wasted here was the last amount i'll spend on them.
Highlights
Quality
This trap works and is of good quality overall.
Have had a single trap outside in the elements for almost two years now and the materials hold very well without weathering.
Drove 3 miles and released them into the woods!
🐁 ☠️ 😥instead i just released all my new friends or "hamsters with a tail" go free down by the woods and everyone wins!
Price
At $10/each given you can set it and forget it, and you can catch more than one (1 got 2 with one in the attic) i guess that can work.
99 singly at a better price ;)
I think these should be slightly less expensive for only two traps.
Shipping
I released them in a park and watched the little cuties scamper away so fast.

I wanted to expand the areas in which i am trapping mice so ordered new ones

I read the reviews of the victor knockoffs as they are cheaper but in every case there were a number of reviews that stated the mice escaped

On my old one i have never had a case wherein the bait was eaten or there were droppings but no mice so none have escaped

So far that has also been the case with the new traps so victor has apparently not changed the design of the trap mechanism though the trap itself has been redesigned to be a little smaller and the top opens along the long edge rather than the short edge
