The bait goes on the roof of the catch end so the mouse has to turn its head up to get it, exposing the * to the clamp.
Cons
The victor traps have a weaker snap, and are very easy to break while you’re trying to set them. Then part of the trigger mechanism wraps to the bottom of the trap. They don't kill instantly.

I may be a city slicker, but for the price, once its got a dead mouse on it, its going in the trash.

The packaging says "safe for pets and children" but i only place them in locations the dog and kids can't reach, because they're curious.
