Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons
The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

Nailed two large rats within two hours the first night, baited with a 1/2 thin slice of banana from walmart. It seems the banana oil from the peel is the main attraction. They are humane.

They already contain the little bait platform for enhanced triggering which i saw pros adding with cardboard on the victors without them. Be careful when setting the trap on sensitive setting.

Cons

The staple that holds the pivot down by the springs falls out of the wood base after the trap goes off. The traps seem to be smashed before they were packaged. Not a single pest down.

Sometimes the brass bar is so long that it never disengages the yellow plastic trip pedastal. And the yellow 'trip' platform is clearly not strong enough plastic.

Quality

Work well - better product than the ones with the metal touch pad - easier to set

These traps are good size & work well.

Leave out a few nights with food before setting to get the rat to let its guard down and then strike on the 4th night!

These can hurt alot or even break your finger.

Price

Best bang for your buck when it comes to rat/mouse/squirrel control.

They are reasonably priced and they work.

Seems like the price should be cheaper; about a dollar or so each cheaper and i would buy more.

Packaging/appearance

Place trap in box with a 2” opening.

Competitiveness

Victor traps are the best as far as i am concerned, they weather nicely compared to other brands which are made from plywood, t...  Read More

I have used other designs and smaller traps but these have provided the best results.

I got way more rats with these than any of the fancy expensive products out there!

But once the traps are armed they are very effective as they have been for at least 100 years because rats unlike humans have no way to warn their young away from danger
