Pros
The kit contains five knives and a sharpening steel. The honing rod is excellent quality and helps to keep the knives sharp. The knives maintain an edge well and sharpen easily.
The travel bag appears to be well made and has enough compartments to add more knives and utensils, which i will be purchasing soon.
Victorinox knives are durable and usable.
The asking price is more than the value of my 2010 mercedes benz ml. Wonderfull quality at affordable price. Have famous knives starting with s and w, and these are better.

I only gave it 4 stars, because i had to order sheaths for it,at this price pointi feel it should come with sheaths.

Competitiveness
I use mine for competition barbecues and grilling in the back yard.
He says they are comparable to the more expensive ones and makes a great started set.
Hard to believe the victorinox chef knife cost so much less.
Chef knife - i'm a 6' 200lb guy with big hands and i find this knife unwieldy.

If they are professional cooks then id only recommend the fibrox line since those are nsf certified

The handles of the rosewood set are beautiful and the blades are the same as the fibrox pro knives but because of the wood handle they shouldnt be used and in a lot of us counties they cannot be used in a commercial kitchen

I cant give much opinion on the swiss modern swiss classic or grand maître line since none of those lines have nsf knives they have no interest to me personally

Beware i would use hand protection with these this is most definitely not a set of knives for people who have no clue what they’re doing you can and will cut yourself with these
