Pros

The victorinox is the easiest knife to use to chop anything you need to chop. These knives aren’t and still offer many of the properties that japanese black carbon steel offer like the 10 degree angle which is the most important difference in cutlery....  Read More

This is the best kitchen chef's knife i've ever owned. Its length/ergonomics fits me perfectly for all kinds of food prep jobs, and slices finished dishes beautifully. It was recommended by one of the chef instructors on america's test kitchen. Highly...  Read More

Novocaine, water rinse, stitching, and an it's-about-time tetanus booster. I use a well known electric sharpener that creates a new edge.

The mottled plastic handle is solidly non-slip in my hand. It doesn't feel unsteady or unsafe.

Cons

This is not worth the packaging it came in. It needs to be sharpened every time before use. After using it for six months, the blade is dull.

Atk really does test their products and this knife has been top pick twice.

It is a lot wider than my old knife and takes more motion to chop down.

Price

Very good for the price, surprised it doesn’t cost more.

Let me tell you, this one is fantastic value.

This so good for the right price that i threw away my j.

I still recommend this device for the money.

Packaging/appearance

Right out of the box, it came with a great edge, ready to tackle any kitchen task.

Competitiveness

This knife works better than my wusthof ($95) and $250 japanese knives i own.

I have many wushof and zwilling knives but this one is better.

I have friends that have spent three times as much on other brands for the same style and size as this knife and they still don’t compare.

The cost is very reasonable compared to other options.
