Competitiveness
The 12cm paring knife is a bit lighter than i was expecting but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Our wusthof and henckel are heirloom territory too, but just can't match victorinox for price.
I wouldn't say my previous knives were 'bargain basement', but from the more affordable end of the price spectrum.
