Pros

This is a fairly large knife and a sheath/pouch can be a more comfortable way to carry it. Victorinox makes a pouch or you can make your own.

The blade is partially serrated and has the one hand opening loop. Both knives have the liner lock, which is what i was particularly interested in.

These knives are currently on sale at a really good price.

Note: i'm a lefty, so i like the left handed lock on the knife blade.

This model is the older victorinox forrester in the 111mm size range and was introduced before the 'one hand opening' feature.

Competitiveness

The back of the saw blade also serves as a very good striker for a ferrocerium fire starter rod.

The forester is the more bushcraft oriented tool than the comparable 111mm one hand trekker.
