Pros

The multifunction can opener is functional. The toothpick and tweezer are handy. The pry tool/ flat screwdriver is useful.

The saw is good for camp craft and also a good ferro rod striker. It has a spear point blade, as well as victorinox’s great saw blade for processing wood. I wish it had a short blade on it, buy a camper or hiker if you want the woodsaw and short blade...  Read More

Saks blades are my favorite blades for whittling, and you’ll find plenty of videos on youtube showing you how to whittle bow drill fire sets, wedges for wood splitting, animal traps and many others. Worked out perfectly for a first time sak mod projec...  Read More

Quality

Traditional victorinox quality with just what i need on the trail.

Swiss army quality in a small package at a great price

Well, anyone that has owned a victorinox knows the quality.

It has all of the quality that you would expect from victoinox.

Competitiveness

I put a keysmart nano clip on it and added some magnets to the clip to keep it from dangling when i'm using my walker.

The saw’s flat ground spine is also great for producing sparks with a firesteel and for producing wood scrapings.

Most swiss army knives rightfully get labeled as a multitool.

Unlike the rest of the utensils, the saw does have a 90* spine for really biting into a firesteel.

If you need to split wood and you only have your sak you can always whittle a wedge with it to do it youtube is your friend or for very light wood processing youtube has a video showing the proper technique to baton a sak to split a 1inch tree limb if you’re willing to risk it i have done it a couple of times very carefully with small knotless sections of wood and gotten away with it
