I tried to reverse the gyutou with the victorinox chef knife however the victorinox chef knife does not fit in this slot

There is at least 2 overhang going on when you try and force it

Even more awkward is that the tip of this knife doesnt actually hit the surface when pointing out of the bottom of the block i dont know how thats possibly because there isnt any nobs raising the block off of the surface

The largest slot does not fit my largest knifewhich is too thick for this block

But it is only workable for electronic devices or binder 3 ring or comb type cookbooks
