Pros & Cons
Pros
Victorinox swiss army 1 (formerly known as the pioneer solo) comes with one large blade that arrives sharp. It also makes a great companion to multi-tooled sak.
About as sweet a little gent’s pocket edc as there could be. At home in a professional environment where a huge tactical folder would be inappropriate.
The blade is just long enough, holds a good edge, the whole knife is amazingly thin yet sturdy. The blade seems thicker than similar knives (probably because there’s only one blade so it can be a bit wider) this is a good knife that won't scare people... Read More
Good stout blade - nice and straight. Unique in that it's straight, not beveled. Good blade and sharper than expected.
Starting from coarse and ending at stropping yielded a very keen edge. Easy to sharpen and takes a good edge. Hair popping sharp right out of the box.
Cons
Very strange, and a little disturbing. Blade is so tight on this knife that it is dangerous to try to close it. It wasn't centered, either.
Highlights
Quality
A quality pocketknife at a reasonable ( $20+) price.
It's a beautiful quality cutting tool for carry everyday.
I look back to victorinox due to their slim profiles and quality nor, did i want something tactical looking either.
I’m also cheap but don’t want a low quality knife.
Price
Victorinox - good rep, good steel, good construction, good price.
Shipping
The knife came from germany and arrived surprisingly fast - with free shipping and a great price.
Be sure to buy from bon koo, they are fast and helpful.
Packaging/appearance
Hair popping sharp right out of the box.
Competitiveness
Very solid, nice snap, really a high-quality knife.
Blade is thicker than othe swiss army knives, secure opening.
I don't need or want to carry a multi-tool - i just need a cutting tool which this knife provides.
