They come very sharp and hold a sharp edge without needing to be sharpened constantly. Would encourage you to buy a victorinox sharpening rod as well.

Matched knife sets are manufacturer gimmicks to get more of consumers' money. These knives are in flimsy sleeves and it is very easy to cut yourself. Very cheaply made. Not worth the price.
