Pros

The edge is sharp out of the box with an even grind. The thumb stud is designed to facilitate two-hand opening of the blade. It's an old school two-hander, but really this knife looks and cuts great!

The blade is bulkier. It is made from sak’s patented stainless steel. It's a high carbon steel, which makes it durable and gives it good edge retention.

The victorinox red alox hunter pro is a sweet knife. This knife will be in my gardening toolkit for a long time.
