Pros & Cons
Pros
The victorinox swisstool is priced at $99. The pouch that came with it is a different story.
Heavy and very well-crafted. Appears to be manufactured to a high standard.
I carry it sheathed in my pocket. Only complaint is the belt pouch.
I still have my trusty leatherman but for the price i think this is a great buy for what you get. Leatherman is great, too, but nothing beats the attention to detail and the finish of victorinox.
It is above any other brand multitool in terms of usefulness, sturdiness. The centerpiece pliers, the whole reason you carry a multitool instead of a pocket knife, are stout and solid.
Cons
The loose tools really cheapen the feel of such a quality looking multi-tool. This tool has the bulbous pliars that are to wide for intended application. Sheath is thinner than previous models.
Highlights
Quality
I would recommend this over any leather man, gerber, as the quality is superior.
Besides that the quality of all the victorinox ive had before has been incredible.
This could be an issue if pushing on them hard on them, espicially with the screwdrivers.
Ultimately the pouch has very little to do with the utility of the tool, but i would have preferred to receive either the pouch... Read More

The fact that the tools fold out without the plier being opened or accessed was the selling point for me.
Competitiveness
Very high quality and it is far superior to the other multi-tool brands that i've used.
I purchased a new swisstool x to replace one lost in the shuffle of life.
After he received the victorinox swisstool x he repeatedly told me there was no comparison between the victorinox and his gerber .
You just spent 100 bucks on a multitool that has $20 worth of tools on it.
