So to mitigate this, i unplug every time when not in use and we’ll see how long it lasts this time around.

This is an excellent capture card for the price.
I guess one could spend 10x the money to get full hd or 4k.
Couldnt expect more from this tiny device, and i believe next step up is the $250 pcie cards.

Packaging/appearance
The item looked just as it was described in the photos.
The packaging was just about right and connecting to my laptop and amazon fire tv stick was simple.
I've streamed my switch from it and it looked pretty good.
Competitiveness
Have another streaming dongle that got for $45, this one is better.

Note i’m using the oppo as the cd player in my audio system so i had no tv near by to connect it to hence the use of the ipad

There is a small heat when leaving the card running 247 but it works

It works well but after 2 hours of using is start overheating and the stripes are showing at the bottom half of the screen
