I finally got fed up and then found this slim adjustable lamp on a discount so of course i ditched my old lamp for this one

The touch panel controls are very sensitive though like other reviews i do wish it were backlit when the light is off in case of needing to turn on the lamp in the dark

I also do have a ceiling light for general lighting purposes but my desk space isn’t quite bright enough for me without an additional light source
