Pros & Cons

Compact size allows for a more discreet setup. Allows you to place it on high where the rearview mirror is. Once installed, it sits very discreetly on my windshield.
Footage is smooth at 30 fps, compared to dashcams at lower price points that only record at 15 fps or less. Connecting to the camera is very easy, specially with the help of the voice commands. Since the cam wifi turns off after a while, it's easy to ... Read More
It’s still too early to say how good it is until it gets the hot sun treatment and the blistering cold of the winter. The picture quality is superb in daylight, and moderately good in nightlight. The audio from the footage is also quite clear.
All the little tidbits to install and program is a bit of a hurdle at first, but it isn't the end of the world. It's a simple app to use, and the videos download to my phone quickly. The only downside is that there is no screen so all settings have to... Read More

Competitiveness
This dash cam also has gps which is nice as other brands often make you pay for an additional gps module.
Compared to previous blackvue dash cams that i've installed the viofo is much easier to install and use.
I wish viofo could release a tiny version of it without the screen like garmin mni 2 but with all the mighty features from vs1.
So i'm a huge viofo fan, i've reviewed half a dozen dashcam brands and viofo always comes out on top.
