It’s not tacticool or tacky, it’s well made, light and flexible but sturdy.
My tactical pen couldn't fit through the elastic band which seemed like it would rip if i forced it!
So the bad, surprisingly what it does not fit well is the pen/writing utensil.

The holder for the ink pen is actually too well made

This is especially a problem if you are using an ink pen wider than just a standard pen or one that has rubber on it

I think they could reduce the size of the loop by half and it would still retain the pen well but would come out easier

Same basic problem for the flashlight loop but i dont think its fixable

Its sized right to hold your flashlight snug but since most flashlights have ridges or knurling to improve their grip it usually takes two hands to get the light out without taking the whole sheath off

This problem will likely get better as the leather stretches however

However only having one clip does mean that the sheath conforms to your belt line a little better as it can bend and flex
