You cannot do this while inserted into the well!
Not a good idea to try to push the nib/converter into the well alone.

I did write an email as a followup to my conversation with the manager and i included as an attachment a picture of an ebay listing for an identical inkpot with its price clearly shown

Yes but on three conditions 1 do not attempt to use the device before having watched one of the many fine demonstration videos on utube i believe visconti has a quick and dirty howto video that lasts less than three minutes 2 use water for your dry no pun intended run and 3 do not assume every fountain pen nibsection is compatible with the visconti ink pot because some are not particularly if the girth of the fountain pens section is too narrow for the conical device inside the ink pot

Thats why you need to use water first and then ink later cuz if when the nib and section are inserted into the ink pot they go past the conical device its ink city all over your hands
