Pros
Even though it's lighter it feels sturdier. The only downside is the price. These things are pricey but very well built.
The container is the same however the lid does not have the squeeze top. The top is more firm and has two side latches. New cap/lid is easier to put on and take off.
The new container is made with the same high quality vita-mix standards. New container is bpa free so that is the best upgrade from the old container. It is shipped from vitamix works as well as the original.

This time i am wiping the container down after every use so that it doesn’t get cloudy.
The lid in my original one (see pics) had slit where the lid should slide into a diver on the canister/pitcher.

Also in my research the original canister that came with my machine didn’t have the black rubber handle and when i looked it up people claimed the new canisters which are compatible blend slightly different so i opted for the original with no black gippy handle
