Buyer beware. The vitamix i received has multiple serious defects. Amazon refuses to send a replacement. Now i’m being told the wrong item was shipped back.

Competitiveness

The 5200 is good for smaller batches, eg a one-cup serving, since the carafe is narrower than larger models, but still just as powerful.

My cuisinart food processor did a good job with peanut butter, but the vitamix is so much better.

Others you buy in walmart, macys, etc don’t compare.
