The vitamix 5200 is the best investment if you’re serious about the wfpb lifestyle cooking & eating. It heats and cooks soup for relay in like 6 minutes. Mainly, i use the 5200 to make amazing sorbet as an amazing summertime thirst quencher.
Noise level is not too bad. It is loud but that is unavoidable. Several solid power settings are easy to control and responds quickly to switch changes.
Cons

All in all i find this machine terribly overhyped. When i used this machine i sensed the motor struggling for an instance. The blender sounds like the spline is ready to rip out when put into high speed.
When cleaning it, the soapy water started dripping out of around the lid - the seal of the lid is the worst i ever saw in a blender. Ingredients get stuck on the sides while blending. This product is wobbly and seems defective.

Although i did not buy this on amazon, it appears amazon offers a better price than i paid!
Not going to drive all over the place for a mixer and waste precious $$$ on gas.
Yes the price tag is a bit steep, but i think of it like an investment.

I ordered this blender and it arrived really quickly.
Packaging/appearance
Everything came in perfect condition and properly packaged.
Pulled it out of the box, grabbed some ice and mixers and made margaritas.

Competitiveness
The 5200 is good for smaller batches, eg a one-cup serving, since the carafe is narrower than larger models, but still just as powerful.
My cuisinart food processor did a good job with peanut butter, but the vitamix is so much better.
Others you buy in walmart, macys, etc don’t compare.
