Pros

The blade is less than one year old and thoroughly sanitized. The renewed machines have a 5 year warranty.

The range of speed is absolutely astounding. Few things are indispensable for me. Took a little time to not be afraid of the dials.

New container, new lid, lid plug, and tamper. Also comes with a new cookbook package. Just recently started making smoothies. I love that i can make large quantities for my smoothies to prep for the week.

Cons

The blender is loud and vibrates. The carafe lid is a big chunk of rubber that looks like it should form a waterproof joint with the walls of the carafe. It is bulky, heavy and cumbersome.

The blades are narrow and poorly angled so it has difficulty blending thick foods, such as hummus. The blending container is too wide at the bottom. An attempted smoothie- same thing.

Works great, came with the full color manaul and recipe book.

Very disappointed in the renewed machine, though.

Quality is same as being brand new.

Is the third one i bought just as good as brand new.

I had a ninja blender for years and was on the it's just as good train, claiming vitamix's price was based on name, not performance.

I would not hesitate to purchase vitamix machines again in the future.

I purchased my refurbished/renewed vitamix 5300 blender in july 2018.

It was also a reconditioned model, however, he could not tell the difference between it and a brand-new one.
