Pros

It fits snug but works. And it fits the base of my 5200 very nicely!

The replacement part here is great quality and better pricing than a y of my vendors through the restaurant. Perfect oem replacement.

Cons

Plastic is thinner/lower grade plastic, not as sturdy. The material is not same thickness as original & a special wrench to change the blade over.

It is easy to install and fitt the old blade from the broken vitamix, fits well and works well.

Perfect fit on my professional series 500, old blade assembly worked great, unlike a knock off i tried previously.

Ours cracked after many years of use.

It comes without the blade - you can unscrew the blade, sharpen them and then hand screw it into this one or buy a new blade.

Price

I’m still glad i saved over $100 compared to the full replacement (even though $40 for a piece of plastic is still a lot).

Exactly what we needed (we bought the blade, top and this separately and it was under $80 total).

It just wasn't worth paying an extra $100 for the rubber handle.

Save yourself $100 and get this replacement.

Replaced a container that the base was cracked on.

Also, you need the top pieces -the container is so clear - looking forward to finally seeing what we are blending .

Nice quality, great price from the oem directly, better than what i saw on ebay.
