Pros

It is worth all the hype i heard about the vitamix. Just adds to the price of an already pricey machine.

It is bpa-free which is important. It blends easier and more uniformly.

Cons

The hyped and seemingly excellent 10 year vitamix warranty only applies to containers that are purchased together with a blender. Anything and everything else only has a 3 year warranty.

Quality

I replaced my 10-12 year old vitamix with the vitamix ascent .

My vitamix came with the 64oz container.

Other reviews noted it didn't fit the base properly and blend quality was not as good.

The original 64 oz container is too big for most jobs, throwing off the blend quality with the wide base.

However, one of my pictures shows the sticker on the packaging that says standard container.
