Pros & Cons
Pros
This is the best blender i've ever had. Performance surpasses nutribullet and ninja. This blender lives up to all hype.
It is a serious machine that should outlive me. This machine is worth every penny. By far this machine holds up to its promises.
For making batter idaly or idali, dosa or dhosa. Cleaning is so easy, then rinse and you're done.
Love my vitamix. Well surpassed all of my expectations. This gets the job done.
It draws 12 amps and a typical home outlet is 15 amps. We use it a lot, so i'm not surprised it looks used after seven months. It has a big footprint - about 8x10 and can be loud, especially at high speeds.
Cons
The blender works fine when it decides to work. The smoothie setting only works for fresh fruit otherwise the motor just turns and smoothie does nothing. Disappointed with the quality and durability of this mixer.
Highlights
Quality
Totally satisfied with the quality and build.
I then pour the finished smoothie into 2 32 oz containers that i used with the nutribullet and use that to do a quick mix later... Read More
I had a blendtec for years, and the vitamix build quality is head-and-shoulders better.
The older style with the block centering pad does not look as sleek as the new ascent series.
Price
Cuisinart dfp-14bcny 14-cup food processor was my choice because the cost was less, i liked that i could slice/shred/blend with... Read More
Highly recommend it and it's truly worth the cost.
The price is quite steep, so if you are cheap,a lesser brand may be in order.
I took so long deciding to buy a vitamix that the newest model was released and the price was so close to what i was going to b... Read More
Shipping
I purchase mine through amazon because i am a prime member and saved a few bucks on shipping, etc.
Packaging/appearance
I follow the instructions as to the order i fill the container.
My opinion is that one needn't spend the extra $ for the touchscreen controls on the a3300 and a3500.
Ideally you'll want to leave the blender stand out on the counter and just move around your pitcher.
Competitiveness
It is my understanding that in the near future you will be able to sync it to a vitamix app.
As i said, i've had an old workhorse of a vitamix for many years.
It is nothing like a vitamix when it comes to smoothies and purees!
A great concept, but you don't need a preset in order to self-clean your vitamix.
