Vitamix package with food prep attachment came on sale and i decided to give it a go.

Competitiveness

I’ve been a long time user of both cuisinart and vitamix.

I can't even compare the quality to my old blender because this vitamix is on a whole different level of greatness.

If you use a blender or food processor frequently, then yes - it is head and shoulders above any other similar appliance that i have owned.

2hp, which technically does mean it's better than the older models but not by a very noticeable difference.
