Pros

It works well in my 8 qt stock pot. The bell guard on the bottom protects my pots which is a necessity with my induction stovetop cookware.

It does a good job of blending and is on the heavy side. It blends so quickly and is so easy to use. We have multiple residents that have purée diet and this blender makes easy work of that.

The power button and power level button take a little getting used to.

Easy to assemble, disassemble and clean. It works nicely, and has some awesome additional accessories you can buy.

Cons

I love the power of the blender that gets stuff blended quickly and smoothly.

I was worried it may be a bit big & heavy, but it does not not make me want to return it.

Always makes you underestimate it, and it does crush and blend whole lemons and ice.

Price

Happy with this handheld- saved me $200+ more for a stand blender, much easier to clean.

Pay a bit more and get stainless steel.

Competitiveness

I shopped around all the different brands and yes you can get one for less money but you get what you pay for.

I have owned and used a less expensive brand immersion blender up until now and it pales in comparison to the vita-mix.

The vitamix is much quieter and much better at liquefying fibrous kale than that one.
