Pros
This blender is like a racing engine and will chop up real quick so you have to use the pulsar. Same with the blender pitcher. It's way better than the cheaper blenders where the motor burns out after a few months.
The vitamix works just as well with one smoothie or 8. It has no problem with frozen fruit, carrots, no leaves of spinach left over in my greenish smoothies.
Time saver. Works just as well as youtube reviews. Best example of its capabilities is when i make gazpacho. Youtube reviews test most of the blunders that you will see here.
It cleans itself. In fact, i'm sure that's not to dissimilar to what is inside. Cleans up easier than my old one, too. Finally, cleanup is a snap.
The container is available on amazon and comes with a tamper for about $100. The warranty is 5 years since the purchase was made through amazon. Well worth the extra bucks and was able to fine a home for my 310 so 2 happy campers.
Cons
If it can't make a simple smoothie, what is it good for? All the fancy blending options are redundant in my opinion. Would definitely not recommend this blender.

It is defective. Sounds like it’s dying and bogged down, spins out like. A chop" "i have to stop and start over.

Quality
I use my newer vitamix to grind my ill husband's meals the quality is excellent.
It’s a quality purchase-an investment in health!
At first i did side by side comparisons with the cuisinart, same ingredients, same amounts, identical blend times.
I do a very rough chop of all of the ingredients and the vitamix obliterates them.
Price
Cost is very high, but if it lasts, then you don't mind spending a little more.
Packaging/appearance
I love making smoothies in the vitamix everyday!
For example, you can fill it up, but you don't want so much in the container that the blades can't move the contents.

The motor is loud, but not to the point that i can’t have a phone conversation while standing near the vitamix.

I finally got a vitamix and scored it this past prime day at a decent discount ($399.
I’ve been a vitamix customer for at least 12 years and i can’t imagine not having one.
