Pros

Three modes presets plus pulse and variable speed from 1 to 10 (mix to liquify). Like it very much. The only other oddity is the variable speed is not linear.

This is the first premium blender i've owned, and i can't imagine going back. It is pricy but worth it in the end. Vitamix sells a variety of blenders from their own store.

Coming from a ninja this is just fantastic. Absolutely in love with this thing and delighted to play around with it. I love kitchen gadgets and this is my favorite by far.

Easy to clean. No more taking apart and cleaning individual pieces. Easy cleanup is also quick and easy which is a huge advantage. It's also easier to clean unless you just stick it in a dishwasher.

This vitamix blender is smaller and really nice for making frozen berry smoothie treats. This unit is compact (or at least smaller than i expected) and has a 48 oz container. The container is perfect for us and pours well and the top is secure.

We made warm soup to silky smoothies so far and the quality it produces is fantastic.

Last night i was making fava bean hummus and it suddenly stopped working- light came on but no motor.

The unit has an automatic overheat shutoff that protects the motor, and i guess it triggered last night.

Price

I think this may possibly be one of the things that make it less expensive but for an extra hundred(s) of dollars this is absolutely fine.

Expensive choice but it can double this as a food processor and it works fabulously.

Took me years to decide to spend the $$ to get a vitamix.

I was hesitant to pay the price for this blender.

Competitiveness

I’m so happy, yes, it’s a bit more expensive but i’m liking it tons better than my ninja.

Overall though it is much more powerful than some of the other blender brands i have tested.

While the ninja produced a good smoothie, the vitamix is in a different class altogether.
