Pros

It's worth every penny. The shriek it does instantly coming up to speed will wake you up. It's definitely loud, but it gets the job done so quickly.

I make smoothies almost daily. They whip up a whole container of fruit in a minute or less and you have yourself a delicious smoothie. Kids want me to make snow cones, gonna order some syrup and make them snow cones too!

This blender is a straightforward, powerful appliance. Itcleans itself without the need to break it into pieces after each use.

No scuff, chips, or scratches. Performs flawlessly. It liquefies everything put into it.

Cons

Amazon's return policy is terrific, but what an inconvenience to repack and ship this thing back. I'm so disappointed that vitamix sells faulty mixers for the insane price they are. No thanks. I just want a refund.

Only half the container can be filled with soapy water. It's impossible to get all of the liquid out of the blender jar. You have to scrape your smoothie out by hand.

Competitiveness

5 stars for this type of vitamix blender, but five for the refurbished aspect.

I've been a vitamix fan for a long time and this is an additional blender for a new location.

I should have bought a vitamix years ago.

The price (even for a re-furb) seems crazy but i honestly wont use any other brand of blender ever again.
