Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

It is a little on the heavier side than some of the other aluminum tripods on the market, but it is rock solid. It is lightweight and compact making it easy to transport. While the legs and supports are slim, they are not flimsy. The tripod is sturdy,...  Read More

It is adequate for smaller dslr cameras like the canon rebel series. It has a quick release plate which can be left attached to the camera allowing easy connection and disconnection to the tripod. The webcam has a mounting hole for tripod, and i have ...  Read More

Cons

The legs are so thin and spindly that the whole unit shakes with the lightest touch. Just closing the leg * causes the legs to twist and you feel you have to hold the leg near the clamp to keep from breaking it. This is comically flimsy and unstable.

Forget any sort of decently smooth panning or zooming. Secondly, forget about using this with a heavy camera or during windy conditions. In a slight breeze the tripod toppled over and smashed in the lens to my canon powershot.

Quality

Quality isn't the greatest, but for the price it is what i expected.

I was impressed with the tripod's quality construction and features.

Great for indoor use, it is very cheap material and feel but for the price it does what it was intended for

Price

Amazing deal - not a high end product, but workable, and the price is amazing

Packaging/appearance

First i will say that i was expecting this thing to break as i was removing it from the packaging but it must have been a miracle.

I will reuse the aluminum when it dies (like my last one did).

Competitiveness

Another thing is it can't hold a dslr like the nikon d5100 if you point the lense all the way up.
