Competitiveness
In this case, i can get a nice butcherblock delivered from home depot affordably, a better top than would ever come with an all-in-one set.
I highly recommend just buying a tabletop and this kit as it offers a far superior final product that you won't regret.
Alternatively, you could buy a 30" deep top to achieve a wider overhang, if you have the space.

I purchased the desk base and added my own top a 134 thick solid wood butcher block countertop from lowes

The top is 2534 deep and the base is 2334 deep so there is only a 134 overhang at the front and back

If you want a dual monitor stand you will need to buy one with a base that sits on top of the desk taking up desk space or drill a hole in the desk top to mount the stand though the top
