Rubber pads keep it from sliding on my wood floors and no scuffing so far. It's heavy duty, doesn't screech on the floor like my co-workers plastic foot rest. Only complaints are that they squeak if you move on them.

It took me a week browsing through amazon looking for the best under the desk footrest for me.
Packaging/appearance
The second time i bought one, i had to return the first one i was sent, because the pad was curled up right out of the box.
But the other two arrived in perfect condition!
