Pros

Mark your holes accurately before you drill. Then attach the tv to the sliding part and attach it to the installed sliding arm. Drilling overhead is hard, but directions were clear and easy.

It installs very easily, swivels exactly how it’s supposed to. The latch seems to hold just fine. Heavy tvs, say over 20-25 pounds are pushing the practicality & safety of the latch on the mount.

Structure is a (what i would call) light bridge spanning between two armoires. Love it as now the tv is across from the couch which makes much more sense. Definitely considering another for my upstairs guest room with gable roof.

Cons

The locking mechanism rarely works and the tv comes crashing down. Surely a better locking mechanism could have been devised. Manufacturer is under a huge liability by ignoring this defect.

Not having a quickly accessible swivel is a deal breaker for this product. The hinge is so flimsy it wont hold the tv straight. Had subpar mounting kit with screws not long enough to bolt to the back of samsung tv.
