Only way its quiet is plugged in directly with no speed control.
Thought i could use a rheostat to adjust the speed but makes way too much noise that way.

Was lookin for a cheaper exhaust fan and this is perfect love it highly recommend
Works exactly as described way cheaper than the ones at home depot
Other than that for the money it works great.
I wish it was a little bit stronger, but you get what you pay for.
