I have 30+ vivotek cameras (among others) in my current security setup and have been using them for over 3 years now.
- good ir images - images are clear out to about 20'.
The illumination is perfect, not too much or too little but that may be b/c it is quite advanced in itself.
Price
I've been pretty happy with this camera, especially at this price point.

This one is not as secure snaps together vs security screws and it feels a bit cheaper plastic vs metal as compared to the fd8134v but the picture quality and night vision is just as good

Recently i started using a synology nas box and the fd8134 was already included in the driver package so it took less than 1 minute to add a new camera to the dvr

Yes but go up to a 2mp or even a 3mp with updated technology for that
