Pros & Cons
Pros
The installation is not too difficult and swapping out the bracket is also pretty easy. It is easy to swap out the brackets. A low profile bracket is included.
It seems well supported in mainline 6. Gbits/sec across the link. Intel chipset makes it compatible with a lot of os's, including freebsd.
It is well built and the connection speed is stable and super fast. Great for high speed direct spf+ connections. The card size takes valuable space away from storage.
My computer has an intel lan card and recently my upload speed got really slow. This card stands toe-to-toe with the intel x710-da2, delivering reliable and efficient data transfer rates.

Cons
It's rather sad, since i was really looking forward to upgrading my capacity. I'm either doing something wrong or missing some kind of manual configuration step.
Highlights
Quality
The card is professionally manufactured, and i've experienced no issues regarding stability or speed.
I'm pleased with the quality, it's performance and above all the speed it produced especially since it has two ports.
The newer manufactured cards seem to have been locked down more to limit what transceivers will and will not work with them.

Price
I get good speeds with this, and couldn't be happier at this price point.
I highly recommend this product for its excellent price and reliable performance.
Also it was cheap enough that i wouldn't feel too bad if it didn't work.
You can get a decent one for a low price on amazon.
Shipping
Will do some testing soon as i am waiting for new cable modem to arrive.
This arrived on time and as described.
Packaging/appearance
Ran it with securityonion and it was a great packet collector.
Competitiveness
This card is a cost-effective alternative to the intel i210-t1, delivering comparable quality without breaking the bank.
The card’s ability to negotiate with my 10gig sfp+ zyxel switch was another pleasant surprise.
In terms of not-intel-but-intel-chipset cards, i didn't see anything on this card that would make me pay a premium over any other brand.
The x550 isn't a new chipset at all, and it isn't at all difficult to find genuine intel cards that are server pulls or nos for... Read More
