Pros & Cons
Pros
It's a fantastic investment that won't disappoint. With high-quality components and a solid construction, it ensures durability and long-term performance. All the solder joints seem solid and as long as the chipset and other components are good.
Works perfectly. Windows recognzes it instantly. Worked great as expected - no complaints!
The card is small and compact and comes with a low-profile bracket, which is handy to have if used in a thin sever case. Comes with both a standard/full-height and a low profile/half-height bracket. none that i can think of.
Iperf3 isp card works flawlessly. Consistently gets 9gbps throughput over copper cat6a. Works for a simple network connection.
Highlights
Quality
The card seems to be made very well, and the speed is great.
I'm pleased with the quality, it's performance and above all the speed it produced especially since it has two ports.
Compatibility issues were a major concern for me, considering the age of my hardware, but this card dispelled all my worries.
The card was recognized as soon as the machine powered up and went through it's cycle.
Price
This card is an inexpensive way to set up a 10g network, although you still need to get the appropriate sfp modules to connecte... Read More
The price of 160 bucks for the 10g version is really great value for the money.
Also it was cheap enough that i wouldn't feel too bad if it didn't work.
You can get a decent one for a low price on amazon.
Shipping
This arrived on time and as described.
Packaging/appearance
Ran it with securityonion and it was a great packet collector.
It came in a thin box with plastic clamshell.
Competitiveness
The card’s ability to negotiate with my 10gig sfp+ zyxel switch was another pleasant surprise.
Intel chipset makes it compatible with a lot of os's, including freebsd.
The card doesn't have any intel branding on it, but it appears very similar to original intel cards.
One difference i did notice is that the sfp cans are only soldered at a couple points, but on a intel card every point is soldered.
